I came across your incredible site through pinterest recently and fell in love with a color palette entitled “feathered brights”. It was similar to this one but the colors were more intense, a grey, dark brown, brick-ish red, tourquoise and lime green. How can I find that again? I am wondering if it may just be the color difference between different computers?
yes…color calibration changes from browsers and from computer to computer. that said, HEX codes are always consistant. check out on the blog “what’s that color” to find out how to get HEX codes and what to do with them (the link is in the upper left column of the blog).

These colors are exactly what I had in my mind! I was so excited to see that someone else had put them together. I was inspired by a Gail Pittman pottery design and also by Gustav Klimt’s work. Maybe even a splash of black or peacock.
For another area in my house I need brown instead of charcoal gray. If I wanted to make the gray more brown, do you think it would work? if so, which color would you chose?
Thanks,
Jane

i don’t give color advice like that through the blog…but you may have luck mixing up the color(s) you have in mind on the palette search page…you will have many more combos to explore.

I wanted to know how to get these colors in paints. Is there some sort of color chart to take to the paint store or do I just try to match as best as I can? Thank you for your help.
